Good evening, Paso Schools Families,

With the California Mid-State Fair in full swing, it might be hard to believe that there's just 25 days until the start of the 2026-2027 school year. These summer evenings are precious, so we'll try and keep this short—we have a few updates to share, and wanted to bring a couple of upcoming dates to the top of everyone's minds.

"Meet Your Teacher" and "Back-to-School Nights"
For grades TK - 6, Meet Your Teacher Night is from 5:00 - 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 12. Please note that Meet Your Teacher Night replaces the usual Back to School Night, so please make the time to attend, explore your student's new classroom, and meet your new teacher!

Back-to-School Nights for Junior High and High School:
  • Lewis Flamson Junior High will be from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 2.
  • Paso Robles High School will be on Thursday, September 3 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.
  • Liberty and Independence High School will be from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9.
The first day of school for all grade levels is Thursday, August 13. The first bell rings at:
  • 7:55 am for grades TK - 8
  • 8:10 am for grades 7-8, and
  • 8:30 am for grades 9-12
If your student is entering TK or kindergarten, you may wish to consult the TK-Kinder Readiness Guide and Frequently Asked Questions on our website. (For translation, click the translation button in the top-right corner of the website, and choose your desired language.)
