Freshman & Transfer Orientation

[UPDATE 7/31/26: All incoming freshman should have received their orientation date assignment. If you have not received your assignment, please contact Ms. Caffrey at ascaffrey@pasoschools.org.]

[UPDATE 7/28/26: We know families are eager to receive additional details about Freshman Orientation, and we appreciate your patience.

Orientation groups are being organized according to each student’s tutorial period. This allows Link Crew Leaders to stay connected with the same group of freshmen throughout the school year and continue providing support during tutorial.

We are currently waiting for student schedules to be finalized before those groups can be assigned. Schedules will be finalized later this week and we will share orientation dates with families as soon as they are available.

We are excited to invite our incoming students to Freshman and New Student Orientation 2026. This is a vital step in transitioning to high school, where students will connect with their Link Leaders—upperclassmen mentors who lead activities designed to help them navigate campus life.

Orientation Schedule

• Dates: Thursday, August 6th or Friday, August 7th, 2026.
• Time: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM on both days.

Important: Personalized Date Assignments

Please note that students will be assigned only one of these two dates. These assignments are based on student schedules, which are still being finalized. You will receive an email in late July with your student’s specific assigned date and final orientation details.

Parent Information Meetings

We invite parents to attend one of our informational meetings held during the orientation sessions. You can choose the time that works best for you:

• Morning Session: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM in the Performing Arts Center
• Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM in room 107
• These meetings are a great opportunity to ask questions and gather more information about the upcoming year.

What to Expect & How to Prepare

During orientation, students will complete several essential tasks to prepare for the first day of school:

• Get Schedules & Textbooks: Receive official class schedules and required books.
• School Photos: Have photos taken for the yearbook and ID cards.
• Gear & Purchases: Purchase PE clothes or ASB stickers. Payment can be made by credit card, cash, or check.
• Preparation: Please ensure you have updated your emergency information in Aeries before arriving. Students should also bring a bag to carry their new books and gear home.
