Coaches' Training
Please upload all completed training certificates in your coach registration in Home Campus.
Coach certifications need to be updated every year before you can sign your coach contract or volunteer coach contract. Some need to be done yearly, while others are done once, every other year, or every four years. Please view the list of trainings and where to find them below.
Volunteer Application: Needs to be done annually, but fingerprints are only done once with the school district.
Fingerprinting: HR will reach out to you after you have completed your volunteer application. Please ensure your email address is correct.
CPR: This is done every 2 years. Head coaches MUST to do the in-person training to have their skills assessed, while assistant coaches and volunteer coaches can take an online course at American Red Cross website. This is the only online CPR/First Aid course the district accepts for assistant coaches and volunteers. The Athletic Department does not reimburse for CPR training since the school district provides the training at no cost to the coach.
TB Test: This test only needs to be done every 4 years. You can go to your doctor or see our athletic trainer. Please contact Kevin Williams, Athletic Trainer, kbwilliams@pasoschools.org to set up an appointment for your TB assessment.
CIF Coach Training: All coaches except volunteer coaches must have the CIF training. This training only needs to be completed once and then you’re good for life, but it must be completed in your first year of coaching. You may take this online course at NFHS Learn. Please get in touch with Amanda to receive a voucher for training so there is no upfront cost to you.
Public School Works Training: For the 2026 -2027 school year, the mandated training is using a different platform. Our insurance provider SISC now uses Public School Works for employee training. Getsafetytrained is no longer what we will use. All of these trainings need to be completed yearly.
The link for the training is Public School Works. Login is SSO for Paso Schools email address. All others without a Paso Schools email address will use the Alternate Public SchoolWORKS Username/Password Login.
