New Course Process
- The instructor/group proposing the course completes a syllabus and course submission form.
- The new course is discussed within the department. (Before November 1st)
- The new course is discussed within department chairs. (Before November 1st
- Feedback from Departments/Department Chairs is discussed by the administration team, and the final proposal is prepared for Curriculum Council.
- The new course is discussed and agreed upon at the District's Curriculum Council Meeting. (Before November 1st)
- The new course is discussed and agreed upon in Superintendent's Cabinet. (Before November 1st)
- The new course is proposed to the school board. (Before November 1st)
- The approved new course is entered into AERIES with the course code and entered into the course guide. (November - March)
- The approved new courses are submitted to the A-G website for approval. (February - September)
- The core curriculum is ordered (if required) before the end of the school year.
