Good Evening Bearcat Families!

I was away this weekend celebrating my oldest child's graduation from college (are they still a 'child' at 22 and a college degree?). But I am told that the PRHS Prom was a huge success. 'Thank you' to all of the staff, chaperones, and other volunteers who helped to make it so. We could not have done it without you; and those memories that were created for our students will last a lifetime.

We are in our last full week of school with a partial week next week and Finals Week to follow in early June. Let's make it count. There are a few makeup CAASPP tests to take care of and the last days of new instruction are coming soon.

A handful of Bearcats athletes are still competing (looking at you Bearcat Baseball!) but it has been a very successful spring season for all of our amazing student-athletes. Our coaches have selected our top athletes for the spring and on Wednesday of this coming week the Lions Club Spring Sportsmanship Awards will be conferred upon a select group of Bearcats. Congratulations to all of these students and their families.

Have a great week everyone.

Regards,
Mike Susank,
Principal and Assistant Principal of Athletics

Graduation Event Guidelines

Just a reminder that artificial noise makers, horns, balloons, and other items that will distract from the ceremony are not allowed in War Memorial Stadium and will be checked at the entrances.

Graduating Seniors in danger of not Walking on June 5

Seniors please be reminded that Saturday May 30 will be the last Saturday School of the year. This means that seniors in danger of not participating in the graduation ceremony due to excessive absences have one weekend remaining to use Saturday School to make up attendance. The other pathways to making up attendance, outlined at the senior meeting (community service, detention, and many others) remain but time is running out. Seniors, please double check with your counselor and AP Sarah Ramirez to make sure you are on track to walk on June 5. We want no surprises.
