Letters of Recommendation
Do you need a letter of recommendation from a counselor or teacher?
You will need to fill out this form and give it to your recommender three school weeks prior to when it is due. We have multiple people asking for evaluations, so we need time to complete all of the requests.
Important things about the Brag Sheet:
- Brag about yourself! The more you can say about yourself, the better our recommendation can be!
- Counselors cannot write recommendations for scholarships. I suggest they come from a teacher or someone that interacts with you multiple times a week or month.
- Some teachers limit how many letters they will write, so please ask if they will be willing to write you a letter right away.
- Ask someone that can write the best letter for you. This will be someone that can speak to your character, qualities, values, etc...
- Make sure you ask the person you want to write your letter. You definitely don't want to complete this and randomly send it, they should know it's coming.
- The Brag Sheet and Activities form and EOP Recommendation form will need to be accessed through your school issued email address: make a copy; fill it out; send it to the person you want to write your recommendation or counselor that will be completing your evaluation on Common App!
- If you complete the Common App, we need this brag sheet! Please send it to Ms. Shatwell or your Counselor!
