The VIP Club had an educational and enlightening experience with a tour of KSBY and its broadcasting facilities. Our Bearcats asked thoughtful questions regarding skills and knowledge needed for different roles in a newsroom such as KSBY. From one director who went straight from High School to broadcasting to the Meteroligst with a PhD to everything in between it was quite clear by the end of our time there that there are many paths that can lead to a job in broadcasting. Students who participated ranged from freshmen to seniors. When asked for their favorite part of the trip, the unanimous consensus was getting to try our skills as meteorologists on the green screen.
