G.E.O. Students Complete the Tri-Tip Challenge in SLO

After rain cancelled the plans to backpack along the King's River, the Seniors in Global Environmental Options spent a rainy Saturday hiking to the top of 3 mountains surrounding San Luis Obispo. They started with the Cal Poly "P" (Hiking up the backside via Poly Canyon), they then climbed Bishop's Peak, and finished the day on top of Cerro San Luis (AKA Madonna Mountain). The very tired students set up tents and cooked backpacker dinners at the Hogeland Ranch in San Miguel. It was a great day, even if it wasn't the original plan. Students will be backpacking in Big Sur next month and will be heading to Trinity Wilderness at the end of May.
