Be Part of Our Chain Reaction - Paso Robles High School hosts Rachel’s Challenge
PRHS is proud to host Rachel's Challenge. Rachel Scott was the first victim of the Columbine school shooting in 1999. From this tragedy sparked a call to action. Rachel's family started a movement to bring kindness and compassion back to schools. On Tuesday, September 20th, PRHS will be visited by Rachel's Challenge, sharing this important message as we look to start our own Chain Reaction of Kindness and Compassion.
Back in 2020, Rachel’s Challenge was first explored and proposed by student leaders in our Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee looking for a way to shift the culture and climate of the campus. This presentation was scheduled to take place on March 16th, 2020 until the world was turned upsidedown by the COVID-19 pandemic. For the last two and a half years we have kept the dream of bringing Rachel’s Challenge to PRHS alive. We are excited to announce that Rachel’s Challenge will finally be on the PRHS campus September 20th to give a presentation to all high school students focusing on starting our own Chain Reaction of Kindness and Compassion. Following the presentation they will be training a group of students and faculty leaders to continue the work for the remainder of the year and into the future.
In addition to the school day assembly for our students, Paso Robles High School wants to invite you to our Community Presentation of this amazing program. Our parents, families, and community are a vital part of starting a new era of kindness and compassion in Paso Robles. We hope you can join us September 20th, 2022 at 6:30 pm in Gil Asa Gym and be part of our Chain Reaction at Paso Robles High School! All are welcome.
